Privacy & cookies

How we handle your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

This website does not have accounts and does not store your details on a server. When you send an order request or a message, the details you type (such as your name, delivery address and notes) are placed into a WhatsApp message that you choose to send to us. We then receive your name, WhatsApp number and the contents of that message.

How we use it

  • To confirm, process and deliver your order.
  • To answer your questions and keep you updated on your order.
  • To keep records required for accounting and tax.

We don't use your information for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

  • Courier companies, to deliver your parcel (name, address, map pin and phone number).
  • WhatsApp (Meta), which carries our messages.
  • Address search and maps: when you use the address finder, what you type is sent to Photon (run by komoot, Germany) to suggest matching addresses, the chosen map point is looked up with OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to confirm the suburb and town, and map images are loaded from OpenStreetMap. If you tap "Use my location", your browser asks your permission first and your location is used only to find your address and place the pin. None of this is stored by us.
  • Our website host (Cloudflare), which processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect this site.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax law requires (currently five years) and other messages only as long as we need them to help you.

Cookies and browser storage

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, or analytics. It saves two small items in your own browser's local storage: your current order (so it isn't lost between pages) and your confirmation that you are visiting for research purposes. These never leave your device, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator.
